VOLUNTEER IDEAS:
FAITH-BASED PARTNERS

What dreams does the school have? What resources and volunteer capabilities do the school and church have individually?

This list is by no means exhaustive; these are just thought-starters and general ideas. With a little creativity, you may be able to come up with many more.

However, before any serious plans to implement any of these, we recommend that church and school leaders discuss what your individual partnership will look like. “Scratch where it itches” is a great rule to live by. Any service “agenda” should be the school’s leadership agenda.

The lists below are broken down into four functional areas: Faculty and Staff, Students, Parents and Family, and Facilities. It’s easy to see that with the below opportunities, there is some task or assistance that anyone in the church can provide, from age 8 to 80, and with any skillset, giftedness, passion, or schedule. Start small, but start soon!

Keep in mind that volunteers are not coming in to save the school, but rather coming alongside the school in a loving, serving, supportive role.
